Charles Edwin King, 93, passed from this life on Monday, October 2, 2023 in Houston, TX. He was born to the late Samuel and Annie King on November 3, 1929 in Sherman, TX.

As a high school graduate, he was drafted into the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Division. Charles was a dedicated business man and owned his own electronics and security companies. He taught himself whatever he needed to know to build circuit boards, install alarm systems, and run his businesses. He was a devoted dad to his 7 children and a wonderful grandfather to his numerous grand children. His favorite things to do were going fishing, playing cards, chess, growing any kind of vegetables, playing pool, and watching western movies "shootem ups".

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Tommy & wife Sharon; son Ronnie & wife Lori; son Sammy & wife Tina; daughter Donna; son Pete; son Billy & wife Anita; daughter Janet & husband Terry. Current wife Myrna and stepchildren Wency, Lester, Jaypee, Cindy.

Thirteen Grandchildren, Ron Jr., Scott, Sarah, Charlotte Elizabeth Emily, Glenda, Junior, Cindy, Brandi, Spencer, Brian, Elizabeth, James, and Josh.

Nineteen great-grandchildren and Five great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Annis Hodges; sister Charlotte King; brother S.L. King, and brother Roy L. King.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home-Champions. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at 1:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery in Rockdale, TX.
