Charles Wendell Gibbs Sr., 84, of Spring, passed away on October 15th, 2024, peacefully at home with his children Shawn and Katherine and his puppy princess by his side. He was born December 11th, 1939, in Rosebud, Texas to the late Robert Woodrow Gibbs and Ruby Hill.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Gibbs Jr.; his children, Shawn Baca and Katherine M. Gibbs and Charles W Gibbs Jr. wife Leslie, his grandchildren, Audie Baca, Collin Baca wife Carolina, Justin Brasovan Wife Kadee, Courtney Brasovan, Dustin Gibbs, wife Sadye Gibbs and Great Grandchild Sophia Baca.
Including his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years Clemmie Ruth Gibbs.
His family and friends knew Charles as a man of strong determination. Charles loved his puppy dog Princess. She truly was a princess. They were best friends till the end. Charles loved his Texans. He made sure to have his Texan gear on each game day.
Charles always had a way to bring Joy and laughter to everyone he met leaving behind memories for all who knew him.
The family will receive visitors Monday, October 21st, from 5pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main Street, Tomball, Texas 77375. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 22nd at 2pm at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas 77375, with Chaplain Darrel Robinson officiating. Interment to follow.
Serving as pallbearers are Audie Baca, Collin Baca, Justin Brasovan, Dustin Gibbs, Curtis Lee, and Ceaser Del Cid.
Shawn and Katherine would like to give a special Thank You to the Devotion Hospice Team for all the wonderful care that was given to our dad during this past year. Shawn and Katherine would like to thank the following people from the Devotion that came out faithfully and saw dad weekly/monthly. Nurse Pam, CNA Felicia, Music Therapy Anysia, and Chaplain Robinson. Also, a big Thank You to LaTonya and Carmen our personal caregivers that became family to us during this past year. Thank you for all your help.
