Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."
On Saturday, September 10th, 2022, Charles "Chuck" Edgar Kennedy, Jr. devoted husband and brother gained his eternal wings to be with Our Lord, at the age of 66.
Chuck was born on July 23, 1956, in Houston, Texas to Charles Edgar Kennedy, Sr. and Alcey Onne Farley-Theirry. He became an officer with the Houston Police Department in 1975 and served for 24 years. After retiring from HPD, he continued serving with Montgomery County Precinct 5. After 10 years of service with Montgomery County, he served Stagecoach Police Department for 5 years then served under Constable Glenn White of Waller County Precinct 2. He also served as the President of the United Mounted Peace Officers of Texas. Throughout his combined service of over 40 years, his incredible work and accolades are too numerous to count.
On December 28, 1994, Chuck married the absolute love of his life, Lisa Renee Mauldin. They were married 25 years until Lisa's passing on October 25, 2020.
To say Chuck had an impact on everyone he met is an understatement. Through his many passionate years in law enforcement, his hard work and dedication were palpable to all he came into contact with. His tough exterior easily gave way to a man who loved with all his heart and soul. From the hundreds of students he taught, to the people in his community, his profound presence is not one that can be replaced.
He is reunited in death with his son Charles Edgar Kennedy III, his wife Lisa Kennedy, his father, Charles Kennedy Sr., his mother Alcey Onne Farley-Theirry, and stepfather Billy Doyle Farris Sr. He is survived by his sister Shari Gray and spouse Dave Pelton, his stepmother Jean Kennedy, his nephew Robert Gray and his wife Melanie, his niece Sara and her husband Joshua Uherik, his grandnieces Lydia and Morgan Uherik, stepbrother Billy Farris, Jr., and wife Donna, stepsister Carol Schneider and husband Tommy, as well as many cousins, family, and close friends.
