Charles Thomas Davis Jr., affectionately known as Charlie, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2023, with his loving wife Chris by his side. Born on December 10, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, Charlie lived a life filled with passion and joy. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Charlie began his educational journey at Churchill High School and graduated in 1974. He possessed a thirst for knowledge and went on to pursue higher education at the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Land Management in 1981.

Following college Charlie began his career as a Landman in Casper, Wyoming. He eventually made his way back to Texas and began working for Phillips 66. He continued his professional career in Oil and Gas working for Vastar and BP. In the later years of his career, Charlie transitioned into the role of a Right-of-Way Agent for Percheron/Equistar, until he retired in March 2022.

While Charlie's professional pursuits were impressive, it was his love for the outdoors, sports and serving his community that truly defined him. He had an insatiable enthusiasm for fishing, hunting, camping, kayaking, gardening, and bird watching. Exploring nature's beauty brought him immense happiness, and he found solace and peace in the tranquility of the great outdoors.

Sports played a significant role in Charlie's life, both as a participant, coach and as a dedicated referee. Umpiring softball and refereeing football allowed him to share his knowledge and passion for the game with others. Charlie's fair and unbiased approach was admired by players, coaches, and fellow officials alike.

Charlie's dedication to service extended beyond his love for the outdoors and sports. He found great fulfillment in his role as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 8771. Serving others was a true calling for Charlie, and he embraced it with enthusiasm and compassion. Within the Knights of Columbus, Charlie served on the Vocation Committee. One of Charlie's most cherished activities within the Knights of Columbus was cooking alongside his fellow Knights to feed the homeless. He recognized the profound impact a warm meal could have on someone's day and took joy in lending a helping hand.

Above all else, Charlie cherished his time spent with family and friends. He valued their companionship and made every moment together meaningful. His warm and inviting personality, coupled with his infectious laughter, created lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

Charlie is preceded in death by his beloved father, Charles T. Davis Sr., and his adoring mother, Ophia Davis. Charlie leaves behind his devoted wife, Christine Davis, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their unwavering love and unwavering commitment were a testament to the strength of their bond.

He is also survived by his daughter, Samantha Day, and his son, Stuart Davis. Charlie's presence in their lives was a source of guidance, love, and support. His children will forever treasure the lessons he imparted and the memories they shared together.

In addition to his immediate family, Charlie leaves behind a host of extended family members and lifelong friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit. He had a way of making others feel seen and valued, and his impact will continue to ripple through the lives of those he touched.

Charlie's departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be cherished. As we gather to honor his life, let us celebrate the remarkable person Charlie was, the love he shared, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home CyFair on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm. Vigil and Rosary will immediately follow visitation at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Friday July 28, 2023 at 11:00am. A reception will be held after mass at Christ the Redeemer Community Center. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects to a remarkable individual who touched so many lives.
