Obituary

Charles "Bud" Chessher, our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather went home to be with his wife Dorothy and his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 25, 2020 in Houston, TX.

Bud was born July 10,1934 in Knoxville, TN. He attended the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a chemist, quality control technician and sales rep for PPG Industries for over 40 years. He created over 1000 patented formulas for paint and coatings during the course of his career. He traveled extensively and lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Houston, TX,  Dover, DE, Atlanta, GA and  Bossier City, LA. After retirement he and Dorothy moved back to Houston,TX . He had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. He was a Christian and member of Second Baptist Church Cypress and dedicated his life to Christ. He was an avid sports fan, loved his Steelers, loved to golf, gamble and bet on sports

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his parents, Charles Edgar and Hattie Chessher, his siblings, Buster, Bobby, Janette Hall, Jimmy and Ralph Chessher.

He is survived by his three children, Rhea Raymond of Crystal Beach, TX, Teresa Wray of Spring, TX, Joseph Chessher and  wife Tammy of Dover, DE; his grandchildren, Kori Kent and her husband Donte, Alex Wray and partner Katie Caplette,
Ed Wray and partner Echo Spence , Dylan Chessher and partner Samantha Fox, Savanna Chessher and his great-grandchildren, Raymond and Alton Kent as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday July 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home, CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Blvd. Houston, TX 77065 Phone 832-678-3900. Due to the CoVid-19 virus there will be no reception afterwards.
