Charles A. "Chuck" Butler, of Houston  was born October 19, 1951 in Houston to the late Charles A. Butler and Marie Ward Butler and went home to his Lord on November 29, 2016.  A true servant of Christ and the community of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, he was loved by many.

The family will receive friends at the St. Andrews Discipleship Center on the campus of Prince of Peace Catholic Church from 5:30pm to 7pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.  At the conclusion of the visitation, a vigil service will be held to be followed by a reciting of the Holy Rosary led by the Knights of Columbus. The celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:30am in the main sanctuary of Prince of Peace with Bishop George Sheltz as celebrant.  The Rite of Committal will follow the service at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM2920, in Tomball, Texas.

Chuck was a long serving Deacon at Prince of Peace Catholic Community and touched the lives of both parishioners and others, participating in the celebration of masses, baptismal rites, reconciliations, hospital visitations, wedding ceremonies and funerals. His absence will be deeply felt in the church community, as well as in the lives of his beloved family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Jo Wey Butler; his son, Charles A. Butler, III and wife Allison; his grandchildren, Madison Grace and Vivienne Renee; his sister, Jeanne Frey; nephews, Todd Newman, Eathan Newman; nieces, Dianne Newman and Addison Newman.
