Charles Robert "Bob" Brabham, 62 years old, of Houston, Texas passed away June 15, 2017 due to an aortic dissection.
Born January 7, 1955, Bob grew up in Laurel, Mississippi. He was the second in line of five children born to John and Autense Lavonia "Smoky" Brabham. Ask any of Bob's siblings - John, Jan, Katy and Jill - and you will hear many wild, hilarious and loving stories of a man who was always a force of life. Serious, professional and hospitable when needed to be, Bob could always be counted on to also be the life of the party. Wearing his ever present baseball cap, he had a way of making everyone feel at home with a joke ready or fun waiting to be had.
Bob began his professional life with Otis Engineering, and later worked with Boots and Coots, Halliburton and Wild Well Control for over 35 years. Through work, Bob travelled the world, collecting stories and gaining friends wherever he went. He was highly respected among his peers and continued to work and mentor until his untimely passing.
Bob is survived by his beloved spouse of ten years, Natalya, whom he met among his many travels. Together Bob and "Nat" travelled the globe, living from Dubai to Houston and a few stops in between. Their journey continued the epic story that fit Bob and his grand life.
He is also survived by his two sons Bobby and Josh, their spouses Brittany and April, his grandchildren Nathan, Noah, Nicholas, Leah and Logan, as well as his mother Smoky, his brother John Brabham, Jr., his sisters Jan Holcombe, Jill Landrum and Katy Burgess, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him greatly. Bob was preceded in death by his father John E. Brabham, nephews Cory Burgess, Heath Holcombe and great-nephew Wills Bowie.
A memorial service will be held at Klein Funeral Home 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Tx 77379.
