Charles Richard (Cuz) Boswell age 89 passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family with his loving wife by his side on March 31, 2024. He was born on April 6, 1934 in Dallas, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Ward Boswell and Maudie Gawne, son Mark Spoonts, son Michael Wright and granddaughter Constance Long.
He is survived by his wife Kay, his children Rhonda Wright, Julie Long, Charles (Nino) and Beverly Boswell, and Tammy Baxley.
Grandchildren - Bridgette Wright, Wendy and Heath Herring, Heather and Ross Rogers, Julyanne and Patrick McKee, Richard (Luke) and Zesabel Long, Wesley and Mackenzie Baxley, Cody and Annie Helmuth.
Great-Grandchildren - Haley, Alyssa, Maddie, Michaela, Kasey, Hannah, Trevor, Trey, Jacob, Cadence, Madelynn, Mikey, Charlie, Makayla, and Isabella. His precious dog, Prissy.
Cuz was an only child and often spoke of how he wanted a large, close-knit family. He achieved that by being an amazing patriarch. Cuz was a devoted family man. He led by example and taught all of his family the importance of the Lord and family in their lives. This legacy will hold true for many generations to come and was his proudest achievement.
Cuz was a military veteran in the Army during the Korean War. He was proud to be an American. He was extremely patriotic and shared this passion with his family and friends.
He was a long time member and served as a Deacon at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Cuz was also a 50 plus year member of Freemasonry. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed watching football.
Cuz founded Boswell Construction in 1968 and retired in 2006. He was an outstanding leader in every aspect of his life.
