Obituary

Charles ("Chuck") Henry Asbill was born on August 11, 1936, and made his heavenly arrival on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the age of 81. He was the only child of Alta and Charles William Asbill. Charles resided in Houston, Texas. Charles was educated at Wewoka High School where he met his future wife and love of his life, Darla Scott. They married in 1956 and recently celebrated their 61 st anniversary.

Charles graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BSME in 1959 and earned an MBA from University of Chicago in 1974. Work experience includes Senior Manager of Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America for 17 years and 10 years at Mitchell Energy. In later years, Charles formed Choctaw Resources, Inc. as an independent operator with business activities encompassing working interest ownership in oil & gas properties, exploration, field operations, natural gas marketing and gathering.

Charles was a long time member of Champions Golf Club. He enjoyed watching Oklahoma State University football games with his family, pheasant hunting in Kansas in addition to dove and quail in Texas. He loved his cats and country music. Charles was a member of Champion Forest Baptist Church and was involved with his Sunday school class.

Charles was an extremely loving and caring husband and father. We are eternally grateful for his unending love and Godly example. He will be greatly missed and his family and friends look forward to someday being with him for all eternity.

Survivors: Charles is survived by his loving wife Darla Scott Asbill, son Charles Jeffrey Asbill and daughter-in-law Janet Jackson Asbill, son Steven Wayne Asbill and daughter-in-law Janet Elizabeth Asbill, and his daughter Sharon Asbill Hernandez and son-in-law Olger Diego Hernandez. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Rachael Asbill Myers and spouse Michael Myers, Charles David Asbill, and Adriana Elizabeth Asbill. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles William Asbill and Alta Carl Asbill.
