Obituary

CHARLES EDGAR ALLDAY III, 50, husband of Beth Slanicky Allday, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Cypress, Texas. Born June 15, 1966, in Pasadena, Texas, he was the son of the late Charles Edgar Allday II and the late Marilyn Tollefson Fricks.

Charles attended Sam Rayburn High School, and then received his degree from San Jacinto College. He worked for 20 years at Enterprise Rent A Car prior to becoming the owner of California Closets for the last 9 years in Houston, Texas. He loved spending time with his family, especially watching his son play baseball and shopping for his daughter; he was their biggest fan. He and Beth also enjoyed building their ranch home for their many family gatherings, especially while caring for their three donkeys, two horses, four dogs, and cat.

Charles was humble, shy, and genuine, had the best sense of humor, was an amazing chef, a meticulous jack of all trades, an avid Houston sports fan, and his thoughtful ways of helping others are just part of the legacy he leaves behind.  His love for his wife, children, family, friends, employees, and animals will live on through the many ways he impacted each of our lives.

Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Beth Allday; and children, Emily and Charles Edgar Allday IV; brothers, Richard Allday and Donnie Fricks; sisters Allison Pignatello and Kim Akel; grandmother, Caroline Tollefson; uncle, Robert Tollefson; aunt, Margaret Tollefson; mother-in-law, Shirley Slanicky; sisters-in-law, Hope Reeves Allday, Monica Fricks, Jennifer Tonder, and Denise Masterson; brothers-in-law, Brad Pignatello, Mike Akel, Matthew Tonder, and Patrick Masterson; stepsister, Shonda Martin; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Joe Terry, Kyle Hobbs, Daryl Lombard, Steve Moore, Brad Pignatello, and Mike Akel.
