Mrs. Damee Lee Kim was born November 11, 1936 in Seoul, Korea and peacefully passed away on September 5, 2019 in Katy, Texas.

Chang and Damee Kim were married in Austin, Texas on December 21, 1957.  They would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in December. Their pride and joy were their six children and 12 grandchildren.  They have lived in the Houston area for over 55 years. They loved their big family and would travel the country to spend time with their children and grandchildren.

Chang studied one year at Seoul National University before transferring and ultimately graduating from the University of Texas (UT) with a chemical engineering degree.  His second love was the Longhorn football team.  One of his favorite pastimes was to watch Longhorn football games with his four sons who all attended UT.

Damee attended Ewha Women's University where she studied law. After one year, she left to study in the U.S. where she attended University of South Dakota and Northern Arizona University.  Her final destination became Austin, Texas, where she started raising a family.  She enjoyed music, oil painting and was an amazing seamstress. She would make matching outfits for all six children.

Children are John Kim, Lynn Hunt, Anne Hahm, Dean Kim, Raymond Kim, Edward Kim.

Grandchildren are Kristina Poon, Jason Hunt, Andrew Kim, Lauren Hahm, Julia Hunt,
Sara Serger , Alex Kim, Christa Kim, Nicole Kim, Michael Hahm, Nicholas Kim
and Ryan Kim.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
