Cathryn Elizabeth Sherman was born in Houston, Texas to parents Ralph Emerson and Lavada Lewis. She was the loving sister of Loretta, Emerson (Jr), and Royce. She graduated from Aldine High School in 1947. She was quiet and bashful back then, but boy could she ride horses…Anyone's!
Soon after she graduated, she married Jeffie Francis Fry and had five children: Jeffery Wayne, Debby, Stanley, Donna and Kelly. In her later years she remarried to Roy Louis Sherman until his death on July 8th, 2003.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She was fun loving and never met a stranger. Her family was the joy and love of her life, especially in her later years, spending time with her grandchildren. She loved family gatherings with the family together enjoying fishing on the pond or just visiting. She had a strong faith and work ethic, loved flowers and always insisted on a huge garden to share with her children. She loved animals, especially her horse "Paint" and her beloved Weiner dog "Baby". All animals loved her because they could sense her kind nature.
She will be greatly missed and affectionately remembered for her fun-loving personality, kindness and generosity to others!

Allyson Clark, who was like one of the children and was instrumental in helping with mom's care during the later part of her life. Also, Patrice Carline and Nancy Russell. Thank you all so much for your kindness and caring for our mother. There are not enough words to express our deep gratitude.
Funeral Service will be held at the Klein Funeral home in Tomball on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 2:00pm for family and close friends by invitation only. Viewing will be held on Tuesday 6/2/2020 from-4:00-5:00 for Family and 5:00-8:00 by invitation only for close Friends.
In honor of Cathryn's love for children, the family asks for donations to St. Jude's in lieu of flowers. The family would also like to thank Oasis Hospice for all the tremendous care, love, and support graciously provided throughout her journey.
