Catherine Ann Redding Templeton was born February 25, 1928 to Luther and Esther Redding in Fort Gaines, Georgia and she passed from this life August 10, 2018 at age ninety. She had five siblings, W.A., Raymond, Irene, Ernest, and Ruby. She was married to Sidney for 69 years and is survived by her son Sid, daughter in law Candy, grand daughter Tracy Mentlewski and her husband Rusty, great grand daughters Jamie, Rylie and Kallie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
To those who were lucky enough to have crossed her path she was known as a very loving and caring lady. Catherine was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she was always available to help and served happily in many positions. What many people remember is after working a full day she would come home and put food, clothes or whatever was needed together and take it to people who were ill or just less fortunate.
Catherine had a long career beginning as a PBX operator at Southwester Bell, then receptionist for Fish Engineering followed by other positions well in to her seventies. When she retired her home was on Chocolate Bayou where she loved to entertain and fish. She loved to go fishing. Catherine and Sidney loved Chocolate Bayou first having a cabin lovingly called "4 Walls" then two other residences there. One on a canal and then the one they truly loved on the Bayou. After she was too weak to stay at their last home in Tomball she was a resident of Grace Care on Eldridge Parkway.
As a wife, mother, relative or friend she will be missed dearly.
