Carroll "Monty" Montgomery Jr. of Houston, joined his sons Jacob and Alexander in Heaven on May 16, 2023, just shy of his 64th birthday. He was born May 30, 1959, to Carroll and Patricia Montgomery.
Monty, the most devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Christine; son in law, Marlin; daughter in law, Mallory; granddaughters Dallas and Alexandria; and his brothers John and Michael.
After graduating in 1985 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Monty began his illustrious career in the Oil & Gas industry. He would go on to make quite a name for himself over the next 30+ years.
His degree, however, was not the best thing Monty earned in college, as he met his Princess, Karen, along the way. The two met in Scotland, where Karen nicknamed him "Magic Man," and she claims this was because he could fix anything. After that point, the two were inseparable, even when Monty had to work overseas.
Monty did not mince words. He was straight-forward, honest, and to the point. There was never a doubt about how Monty felt about something—he would let you know. Underneath that Monty-glare, however, he was a kindhearted, selfless man, who would do anything for his wife, his children, and his friends.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 22 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main, Tomball. In lieu of flowers, Meal Train contributions would be greatly appreciated (listed as The Montgomery Family).
