Carroll was born in Greenville, Mississippi on February 1, 1952 to Hal and Fran Mullens.

When Carroll was about 5 years old her family moved from Mississippi to Houston, Texas.  She grew up in southeast Houston and graduated from Milby High School.

Carroll attended Houston Baptist University before returning home to be a support to her mom.

Carroll worked doing accounting and tax work for a number of clients including some home builders.  It was in that position that she eventually met Steve who worked for a lumber and construction company.

Steve and Carroll were married on December 4, 1976.

Carroll loved being a mom to Steve's three sons and eventually was blessed with Erin, a baby daughter, through adoption.

Carroll started her own company, Cadco Financial Services, Inc., in 1983.  She found her calling in not only helping others with bookkeeping and tax services, but simply by being a good listener and sharing words of wisdom to those who needed it. Many of us would tell her that she had a counseling service on the side.

She loved being a mom and a grandmother.  She always wanted to make sure that each one of them knew how much she loved them.

To the rest of us she was – a friend, a confidant, a woman of wise counsel, a truth-teller, and a second-mom and mentor to many young women.

She was a Christ-Follower who exhibited unwavering faith even in times of unbelievable loss and grief and despite diagnoses that would cause many of us to question the God we love and serve.

She has shown us how to love, how to serve, how to grieve and how to die all while still trusting God and the plans He had for her.

Carroll had such a tender and generous heart. She was always concerned for those with serious need.
