Obituary

Dave was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, in 1931. He liked how the zoo was so close he could hear the lions roaring. He was a Korean War Veteran and spent three years in the Air Force during that time frame.  He graduated from the University of Oklahoma after his time in the Air Force.  He traveled the world as a scientist working for the US Geological Survey spending time extensively in Scandinavia, Africa, and Antarctica where he set up a number of seismograph stations used to detect earthquakes.

Yet, no matter where his travels took him, he always enjoyed the view.  After his time at USGS, he worked in the oil business for many years where he made a number of good friends who loved his intellect and humor.  Dave was a proud Texan and had lived in Houston for over 40 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle; his adopted daughter, Michelle; his four sons, Davy, Erich, Kit, and Stefan; and his grandson, David.
