Carolyn Bustin Wawrykow, at age 79, woke up in the loving arms of Jesus on the night of Monday, April 24, 2023. She was born in Houston, Texas and was preceded in death by her parents: JC and Mattie Lee; brothers: James and Donald (Catherine); nephew: Mario. Also preceded in death by husband of seventeen years, Charles Wayne; husband: John, and their son, Stephen.

Survived by her husband of thirty and half years, George; her birth children: Darrell (Ruthanne), Konnie (Ken), and Brigitte; step-children: Tamee (Greg), Teresa (John), Tania, Vicki, Jan (Mark), and Mike; sister: Sharon (William); nieces, Cynthia and Jennifer; nephews: Kevin, Kirk, Don Anthony and Steven. Also survived by her grandchildren: Allisha, Nikki, Ethan, Magan, Vanessa, Kenna, Katlyn, Karessa, Kelsi, Benjamin, Toby, Joshua, Cody, Trinity, Isabela, Griffin, Chris, Amanda, Rachael, Hannah, Brandon, Stephanie, Becca, Stephen, Emma; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

Carolyn leaves a legacy of being an example of her love for Christ and others, filled with joy and "Let's fix it attitude"; she served overseas as a missionary for fifteen years, and the rest of her thirty-two years was spent loving on her family and anyone she would meet.

Memaw, as most family lovingly called her, always had a story to share or a nugget of wisdom that you didn't know you needed to hear. She deeply loved Jesus and her family, quick and ready with a Bible verse that would fit just about any situation. Always encouraged us to lean on the Lord in all situations. She was full of compassion and had contagious joy. She was your biggest cheerleader no matter the situation. She inspired you to be a better person, always kind, serving others and willing to help. If she could not fix it, she would pray. Memaw cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored, always making time for each one, sharing life's joys of how to cook, do crafts, drawing, how to clean properly, play games, learn chess, play in the dirt, plant a garden, bird watching, sew, and so much more. She highly valued spending time with her family and sharing the love of Christ to those around her. We treasured her beaming smile, loving hugs and kisses.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 1pm at WoodsEdge Community Church in the Pavilion building at 25333 Gosling Rd, Spring, Tx. 77389. Reception immediately following the service.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 2601 Spring-Stuebner Road, Spring, Texas 77389. The Date and Time is to be determined.
