Carolyn was born in Houston, Texas to Ross & Faye Mistretta on February 18, 1943 and was their only child. She attended Jefferson Davis High School and soon after met her beloved husband Kenneth Stephenson. They married on April 27, 1962 and were blessed with three children Ronnie, Sheri and Julie whom they treasured.

Carolyn was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children.  She attended Candlestick Baptist Church for 30 plus years in which she faithfully attended bible study groups, revivals and many other church functions. Her life was dedicated foremost to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then to her dear husband. She passed on her love, faith and devotion of the Lord to her children and grandchildren. She loved being with her family and having family gatherings and was especially so proud of her two great grandbabies.

Kenneth and Carolyn were married for 55 years and absolutely adored each other. Their love and respect for each other was an inspiration to all who knew them. Her family and friends will always remember her wonderful smile, sense of humor, her compassion for others and graceful spirit.
