Carolyn Sue Truax Speirer of Houston, Texas was called home on October 6th, 2025.

She was born February 2nd, 1951, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She supported her children and community by volunteering for several years in the school nurse's office, serving on several PTA boards, and also volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America. She was a homemaker who spent much of her time caring for her immediate and extended family. Later she worked with the school district administrative office until her retirement. She loved crafts, beautiful flowers, and birds - especially hummingbirds.

She is survived by her son Shawn, son James and his wife Cathy, granddaughter Bailey, sisters Deborah Ferrell (Larry) and Patricia Scripter (Tad), sisters-in-law Mary Miller and Kathryn Truax, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Darell, brother David Truax, grandson Alexander, and parents Bruce and Edith Truax. Sue was a kind and loving person, and she will be greatly missed. We love you, Nana.
