Carolyn Sue (Jordan) Robbins passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at the age of 90. Carolyn was born on August 17, 1934, in Manning Texas. She was raised by her late grandparents William Franklin Jordan and Lucy Belle (Jordan) Rice alongside her aunts and uncles.

Carolyn moved to Beaumont, TX to live with her Great Aunt Mary Sue Ray and her Uncle Charlie Ray in her teens. While living in Beaumont and attending South Park High School Carolyn met the love of her life, William (Bill) A. Robbins, Jr. They were married on June 5, 1953, in Beaumont and subsequently had their first child Michael.

In the late 1950's the family of three moved to Lafayette, LA where Bill started his career with Core Laboratories and their 2nd child, Steven, was born. Carolyn earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees of Education from University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL). She often toted her two young boys around the college campus when Bill was on a 24/7 work schedule. Carolyn started her teaching career in Lafayette at Edgar Martin Elementary working with children who had learning disabilities. In the early 1970's Bill was transferred to Houston, TX with Core Laboratories. The boys would attend Spring High School and Carolyn began teaching in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School district receiving recognition as Teacher of the Year at Yeager Elementary.

Bill and Carolyn's time in Houston ended when Bill accepted a new position with Core Laboratories and was transferred to Dallas, Texas. Bill and Carolyn settled in North Dallas and would reside there until 2023. Carolyn briefly taught at Hillcrest High School in Dallas. Carolyn and Bill were active in Park Cities Baptist Church where they developed many friendships. At Park Cities Baptist Church, Bill and Carolyn taught a class of international members, often hosting them in their home. Carolyn volunteered for service opportunities throughout the Dallas area. Carolyn began volunteering at Presbyterian Hospital in various roles. She loved assisting families and interacting with physicians. Her volunteer work at Presbyterian Hospital continued for over 20 years. Carolyn was also involved with the Dallas County Council of Republican Women where she worked on the various campaigns. Carolyn enjoyed volunteering at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden furthering her horticulture interest. Through these organizations and Bill's business relationships at Core Laboratories, Carolyn enjoyed traveling the world and entertaining guests in her Dallas home and abroad.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, William A. Robbins, Jr. Carolyn is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Michael William (Lisa) and Steven James (Charlotte); five loving grandchildren: Kathryn, Kelly, Ryan, Alex, and Zach in addition to 10 great grandchildren!

The family will have a small private ceremony in Houston, TX. Carolyn will be inurned at Park Cities Baptist columbarium in Dallas, TX. Memorial donations in Carolyn's honor may be sent to Park Cities Baptist Church, 3933 Northwest Parkway, Dallas, TX 75225 or P.O. Box 12068, Dallas, TX 75225.
