Carolyn passed away on August 3, 2021 at the age of 84.   Carolyn was born on September 7 ^th , 1936 in Poteau, OK.  She lived the majority of her adult life in San Jose, California.  She moved to Texas in 2001 and made her home in Spring.  Carolyn's  daughter Lowana passed away on December 5, 2014.   Carolyn was buried on August 6, 2021 with her daughter's ashes.  Carolyn is survived by her son Jim Newsted and wife Susan of Cypress, Texas.   Grandchildren Matthew Newsted, Melanie Carson and their mother Marianne; Great-Granddaughters Sophia Carson, Zoey Newsted & DJ Newsted; Jim and Lowana's father Gerald Newsted.
