Carolyn was born September 27, 1923 to Carl Milham Knapp and Anna Ricketts Knapp in Houston, Texas. She died peacefully at home in Tomball on August 15, 2017, with her four children at her bedside.
She graduated from Lamar High School and Rice Institute in Houston, and married Roy C. Hohl, Jr. in 1943 to whom she was married until his death in 1985.
She was a long-time faithful member of Tomball United Methodist Church where she served enthusiastically for many years. She served faithfully in the Junior League of Houston, Tomball Study Club, Bible Study Fellowship and Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries for many years and was active in the Cannon Class and United Methodist Women at Tomball United Methodist Church. She loved attending all the activities of her eight grandchildren in all seasons.
She is survived by her children Roy C Hohl, III and wife Trudy Hinckley Hohl, Ellen Knapp Hohl Stutts and husband Joe D. Stutts, Carl Knapp Hohl, Stephen Louis Hohl and wife Lorel Brown Hohl. Her grandchildren are Sarah Elizabeth Stutts Weatherford and husband Tad, Katherine Knapp Stutts Kinard and husband Kenneth, William Roy Stutts, Carl Travis Hohl and wife Carly Smith Hohl, Jay Tyler Hohl, Roy Trenton Hohl, Hannah Jennifer Hohl, Rebekah Carolyn Hohl. Her great grandchildren are Elizabeth Stutts Weatherford, Hostad Charles Weatherford, Everett Jones Hohl, Eloise Knapp Kinard.
She is also survived by her beloved sister Elizabeth Knapp Gayle; sister-in-law: Doris H. Hohl and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved. Her grandsons are honored to serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 9:30am followed by the funeral service at 10:30am Friday, August 18, 2017, at Tomball United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tomball United Methodist Church.
