C arolyn Wilson Armistead, age 89 of Spring, passed away late in the evening Friday, June 17, 2016 - an hour short of her 66th wedding anniversary to husband Sam Armistead. She was born to the late Carroll Oscar Wilson and Erma May Hicks on January 10, 1927. Carolyn was a straight-A student at Nederland High School, before attending the University of Texas. She later worked for Pure Oil in Nederland, Texas. She was a long time member of the Tomball United Methodist Church.  She was not only a member of the church choir; but also served many years as the church organist. Music, reading, family and friends were Carolyn's passion and delight. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Sam Edward Armistead, her two children James Daniel Armistead and Susan Armistead Stow, and her three grandchildren Ellen Stow Conley, Mitchel Frederick Stow, and James Hampton Stow. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening June 22 from 5pm until 7pm at Klein Funeral Home 1400 W. Main Tomball, Texas 77375.

A Memorial Services will be held Thursday morning June 23 at 11am at Tomball United Methodist Church, 1603 Baker Drive Tomball, TX 77375.
