Caroline Snyder Ives passed peacefully to be with the Lord on March 16, 2025. Caroline was born in Sardis, Mississippi on January 28, 1936, and was the only child of the late Marion and Marvin Snyder. Caroline lived a life filled with love, faith, and joy. She always shared warmth and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was always quick witted and could light up a room with her smile. Caroline graduated from Odessa High School in 1954 and later from The University of Texas in 1960.

Caroline was preceded in death by her late husband Kennith. She is survived by her son Scott Ives and his wife Patti, her son Steven Ives and his wife Shelly, and her granddaughter Megan Copper and her husband Jon. In addition, Caroline was blessed with two great grandchildren, Eleanor and Odin Copper.

After raising her two sons Scott and Steven, Caroline joined the Harris County Public Library and later retired after nearly a quarter century of dedicated service. As an avid reader, Caroline' time with the library provided her with a never-ending arsenal of reading material which she was more than happy to take in.

Caroline' life will be celebrated in a small private family gathering including her two wonderful friends and loving caregivers Tayla Thomas and Karen Allen.
