Carol Blake West, 82, passed away 5 June 2018 peacefully in her sleep near her home in Cibolo, TX after a lengthy illness. Carol lived a number of years in Pinehurst, TX, later relocating to Lincoln, AR before permanently residing in Schertz and Cibolo, TX.

Carol was born on 3 August 1935 in San Antonio, TX to Rose and J. G. Blake. She married her high school sweetheart, Vol West, on 3 November 1952 in Lincoln, AR. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage and the raising of their two wonderful children. They traveled often while Vol was in the Air Force to several stateside assignments and two overseas assignments in France and Italy. Before her illness, Carol always found time to help her neighbors and was especially generous to her friends and family. Carol was a member of the Schertz, TX Methodist Church. Carol and Vol previously taught Sunday School at the Lincoln, AR Methodist Church. Carol also served as a board member of the Arkansas Country Doctor Museum.

Carol is preceded in death by her father and mother of Morrow, AR. She is survived by her loving husband Vol , son Randy West and wife Tammy of Richmond, TX, daughter Rosemarie West Velasquez and husband Baldo of Cibolo, TX, sister Johnnye Greuter and husband Mike of The Woodlands, TX, sister Susan Gist and husband Mike of Duncan, OK, three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A graveyard service will be conducted on 8 June 2018 at 11:00 am at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery located at 32539 SH 249, Pinehurst, TX 77362. Chaplain Edward Morris officiating.
