Carol Ann Ford, age 81, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 9th, 2025, after a brave fight against dementia.
Carol was born to James and Gladys Jones on December 19, 1943, in San Francisco, California. She grew up in Northern California with her 3 siblings. Growing up, she developed a love of reading, music, and dancing.
At the age of 15, Carol met her husband, Charles (or Chuck to her) who was 17. They were married April 24, 1959, and they were blessed with three beautiful daughters. Over the course of her husband's career, Carol helped him run his business, but family was at the center of their lives. Carol found joy in busying herself with her kids' lives, and was always helping out at their schools. She loved to load up the car and take her daughters on trips, as she loved to travel.
Carol and Chuck were so happy to have four grandchildren, and they absolutely adored each one of them very much. After Chuck retired, they bought an RV and really enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. Carol was always most happy with her loved ones, so after traveling, they always ended up back where their kids and grandkids were. Carol was a fierce protector of her family, and always made sure everyone had what they needed.
It made Carol happy to spoil her kids and grandkids especially, and herself on occasion as well. She was a big foodie, and loved Southern food, Italian, and Mexican, but she had a sweet tooth, and her favorite was sweets. Most days you would see her with any one of her favorites: ice cream, See's chocolate, candy bars, a cinnamon roll, coffee cake, or donuts.
Anyone who met or knew Carol would fall in love with who she was. Carol was a very sweet, kind, and giving person with a lot of love in her heart. She had wonderful etiquette, inner and outer strength, and she carried herself with a timeless elegance.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Ford, her parents James and Gladys Jones, and by her brother, John Kegley.
Carol is survived by her three daughters and their families; daughter Cathy and her husband, Heinz, and her children, Keith and Justin; daughter Robin and her husband, Robert; daughter Charlotte and her husband, Mike, and their children, Scott, Kaitlin, and her husband, Erik. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Richards and Kathy Ray.
Carol was so special to her family, and they will forever cherish and treasure their memories with their Little Lady.
