Carol Ann (Was) Cherrier, 84, died Monday, June 21, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital at the Vintage, Spring, Texas, after an illness. Carol was born on July 18, 1936, in Putnam, CT, to John and Mary (Weigel) Was. She was a graduate of Putnam High School. She married Milton Cherrier on July 11, 1959 at the United Church of Christ, Federated, in Webster, MA. After her marriage, she resided in Webster until 2005 when she and her husband moved to Cypress, Texas.
Carol leaves her husband, Milton Cherrier; her daughter, Karen Blackketter, and her husband, Keith Blackketter, of Cypress, TX; two sisters, Mary S. Morin of Thompson, CT., and Kathleen Blanchette of Abington, CT; two nieces, Jill Blanchette and Stephanie Nugent; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in law.
Carol was an excellent seamstress, easily able to make anything you could possibly imagine. She especially loved to sew Barbie doll clothes. She also loved to knit. Carol loved to bake, but hated to cook.
A memorial service will be held on June 30, 2021 at 10 am at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX 77065 .
