Mrs. Carol J. Adams passed away on June 13, 2023 in Houston, Texas at the age of 85.

Carol was born on August 2, 1937 in Galesburg, Illinois to Carl E. Isaacson and Joan N. Crandall Isaacson. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1955 and married Donald R. Adams the same year. Over the next eight years, the couple welcomed six children into their family. Don and Carol shared 59 wonderful years together.

Carol is survived by her children Mark Adams of California, Jon Adams of Houston, Texas, Robert Adams of Houston, Texas, Susan Smith of Houston, Texas, Amy Adams of Houston, Texas, her brother Robert Isaacson of San Diego, California, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Adams, her daughter Lynn Kathleen, and granddaughters Hannah Ehlert and Megan Smith.

Her family will always remember her as a selfless and generous mother willing to help with anything. Carol was a skilled artist and was quite an accomplished gardener with Master Gardener certification. She spent many years volunteering in her local community, as a volunteer emergency medical technician, as a delivery person for Meals on Wheels, and as a poll worker for local elections. A dedicated member of the community, Carol also served on the civic association board for several years. Carol and her husband loved to travel and spent many years traveling the world. In the last year, she went on three river cruises with her children in Europe.

The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Father Thomas Luu Vu will celebrate the funeral mass.
