On April 16, 2026, Carla Diane Chapa Ghazizadeh passed away peacefully in her Magnolia home at the age of 69, surrounded by her family's love. Services will take place at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, at 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, Texas 77354. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5-8 pm, and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 2-4 pm.

Carla was born in November of 1956 to Clemente and Beatrice Chapa. She attended Robstown High School, where she was known for becoming colonel of her drill team. Carla graduated from Texas A&I University with her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. For over 35 years, Carla worked in oil & gas for Mobil Oil Corporation and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. She excelled in her career as a Senior Environmental Regulatory Analyst.

In 1983, Carla met Ali in Houston, Texas. They married the following year among family and friends, and later had two daughters. From the Great Smoky Mountains to Hawaiian waters, Carla and her family took many trips across the United States, and even to Canada and Mexico. In 1998, Carla and Ali moved with their daughters and pets to Magnolia, Texas. Carla and Ali were married for 43 years.

Carla loved to connect with loved ones and knew the value of a special bond. Whether a new job, birth of a child, marriage, moving to a new state, or graduation, Carla's joy was in others' successes. She bonded with her daughters over 70's music, Houston sports, art, and Persian and Mexican cuisines. Every move Carla made was intentional, from leading Thanksgiving prayer to preparing kabob and chorizo.

Her calendar was always full of family gatherings, from camping or at the beach, to holiday parties and formal occasions. Carla was an incredible cook, active in her local Zumba group and book club, and a lover of all animals. Her most recent accomplishment was completing the Light the Night Walk in November 2025.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents Clemente and Beatrice Chapa, her in-laws Avaz and Khatoon Ghazizadeh, and other uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

Carla is survived by her husband Ali Ghazizadeh, her daughters Angela Farima and Ashley Parisa Ghazizadeh, her siblings and their spouses Blanca and Jackie Robinson, Norman and Leticia Chapa, Michael and Delma Chapa, her brothers- and sisters-in-law, and countless uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and pets.

Carla will always be remembered for making sure others had a beautiful life.
