Carl August Labadie, age 86, of Spring, passed away November 21st. He was born March 14th, 1939, in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Leon Edward Labadie and Edith Margaret (Decker) Labadie.

He is survived by his daughter, Gabrielle LaBrozzi; son, George Labadie; granddaughters, Rachel Herrington and Taylor Brielle Theuman; grandson, Jaxton LaBrozzi; brother, Leon Labadie; and sisters, Sharon Helminski and Blanche Thomas.

Including his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Hastings; brother, Leonard Labadie; and sister, Caroline Knapp

Carl had a curious mind and a love for the mysteries of the universe. A devoted fan of Star Trek and Star Wars, he spent countless evenings studying the night sky, convinced that we are not alone among the stars.

Above all else, Carl cherished his children and grandchildren with a quiet, steadfast love. He saw the good in people, even when it was hard to find. He could be stubborn and stern at times, but always fair, always steady, and always guided by a good heart. To his family, he was a constant source of love, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
