Obituary

Carl Gene Hovermale, 78,  passed away November 24, 2021.  He was born August 20, 1943 to Melva and Carl Hovermale in Anderson, Indiana.  Carl married the love of his life on March 1, 1964.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and participating in barbecue cook-offs.  Carl was a devoted husband, father and friend.

Carl is survived by his children Chris Hovermale, wife Shelley, his daughter, Jennifer Herring, his grandchildren, Lauren, Peyton, and Gunnar, his great grandchildren Hunter and Alyson, Brother Richard Hovermale, wife Edla, their children Erika, Robert and his wife Angie, and Melinda, and 7 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his death by his wife Melanie, and his parents Carl and Melva.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, 5 pm to 8 pm, at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354.  There will be a brief graveside service on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 9:45am at the Houston VA Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038 .
