Brunhild Elisabeth Elkin, age 89, was born on November 7, 1936, in Germany and passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
Brunhild was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for her family. As a dedicated homemaker, she created a loving and welcoming home filled with warmth, comfort, and cherished memories. She took great pride in maintaining an organized household and ensuring those around her always felt cared for and supported.
A true giver at heart, Brunhild was known for her kindness, generosity, and selfless nature. She found beauty in life's simple pleasures and had a special appreciation for ballet and the arts. Her gentle spirit, grace, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, William M. Elkin; her daughter, Dianne G. Lee and husband, Thomas O. Lee; her stepsons, Bailey Elkin, Joe Elkin and wife, Cassie, and Henry Elkin and wife, Joann; her cherished best friend, Brigitte Wilkerson; her dear neighbors and friends, Sally Gentry and Shannon McInnis; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael A. Gant; her mother, Elisabeth Heilmann; her brother, Klaus Heilmann; and her former husband, William A. Gant.
Brunhild's legacy is one of love, generosity, and dedication to family. She had a remarkable gift for making a house feel like a home, and her caring nature touched the lives of many. Through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support, she enriched the lives of those around her and created memories that will be treasured for generations.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
