Brian Thomas Swift, 59, of Magnolia, Texas passed away on January 2, 2023.

Born September 17, 1963, to the late Michael and Mary Swift in Brick Township, New Jersey, Brian grew up along the Jersey coast where he enjoyed little league, hockey, wrestling, and photography. During his youth he was very active in his church, and was the photographer for Asbury Park Press, and ran his own lawn care business. After graduating from Brick Township High School, Brian obtained his BBA from Seton Hall University and went on to obtain a JD and MBA from Widener University Delaware Law School.

Brian met the love of his life, Kathy, in Europe in August of 1991, and they later married in 1994. Brian and Kathy shared 29 happy years of marriage, deeply in love and always feeling so lucky to have each other. They were active in their community and service organizations. They enjoyed an active lifestyle together, sharing their love of anything on the beach: paddle boarding, scuba diving, and catching every sunset (always waving it goodbye).

Brian was a devoted father to his children, George Michael and Sarah and was a huge believer in family meals around the dinner table, treasuring the opportunity to stay present in his children's daily lives. Being the ultimate supporter of any and all interest of his children, Brian took pride in being an avid "Dance Dad" for Sarah and coaching George Michael's little league teams. Brian even became an Aggie vicariously after they both chose to attend Texas A&M. His children were his pride and joy, and he taught them to be strong, to live with integrity, and to face life with laughter.

Brian was an accomplished attorney and loved the practice of law as a civil litigator. Formerly a partner at top-tier law firm, Brown McCarroll, LLP, Brian proudly "hung his own shingle", in 2008, establishing The B. Swift Law Firm, P.C. where he enjoyed a successful practice for 14 years. He specialized in family law, asbestos litigation, and personal injury law. He took pride in providing his clients personalized service, and enjoyed mentoring young lawyers, teaching them a strong commitment to excellence and integrity.

Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and scuba diving. He was a diehard Houston Astros and Texans fan and loved music. Brian was also an avid boater on Lake Conroe where he faithfully worked on "Lake Conroe fishing". He loved being on the water while captaining his boat, "The Swifty".

Brian was predeceased by Michael Walter Swift, Mary Theresa Swift, Michael Walter Swift Jr., and Mark Kevin Swift. Those left to cherish Brian's memory and continue to share his story are his wife, Kathy Shafer Swift, children, George Michael Swift ("Swifty") and Sarah Katherine Swift ("Cookie"), sister, Michelle Swift Spindler, and brother-in law, Ryan Spindler, as well as numerous brother/sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brian will be remembered by his bright blue eyes, big smile, and infectious sense of humor. Brian greatly loved the Lord, and his walk with God reassures us that we will see him again. Until then, we will miss him today, tomorrow, and forevermore.
