Brenda Henderson May, Age 66, loving mother of 3 boys, passed away on August 13th, 2024, after a courageous battle with medical complications. Brenda was born in 1958 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up surrounded by her large family, including 7 other brothers and sisters. Brenda was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others. When she met her husband Walter at the age of 16, she carried that love and care into motherhood, raising 3 boys, Mark, Don, and Jimmy. She was the most generous, loving and kind person to those around her. Everyone that knew Brenda knew she loved the beach and had a passion for cooking. Her Thanksgiving Dinner was second to none. Her grandchildren meant everything to herm and any chance she would get to be with them, she would take it. She spent most of her time caring for her youngest son Jimmy, but still managed to make everyone around her happy. Her favorite saying was "I'll trade you in for a pink Cadillac" if you got her a little on edge. I know we will all deeply miss her infectious smile, but we have comfort in knowing God has his plan for us to see her again one day. She is now an angel looking over each and everyone of us.

Brenda is survived by her 3 sons, Mark May and his wife Sherry, Don May and his wife Bobbie, and Jimmy May. Sisters Earlene Fisher and Marita Henderson, brother Brian Henderson. Grandchildren Bryce May, Morgan May, Kyle May, Brookelynn May, Corynn Waltz, Kaitlyn Courtney, Lily Courtney and Jerry Bridgewater.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walter May, Mother Thelma Henderson, Father Mack Henderson, Brothers Michael, Melvin and Terry Henderson, and Sister Glenda Henderson.
