Brenda Kay Gehman, 59, peacefully passed away on August 30, 2020 in Houston TX, surrounded by family. She was born January 29, 1961 in Portsmouth, OH to parents Betty Cervantes & Carl Swords. Brenda grew up & attended school in Bellaire TX, and later settled in Magnolia to raise her family. She was a strong, independent woman, who overcame many obstacles & worked tirelessly to provide everything she could for her boys whom she adored. She was stubborn, and a fighter, as her health continued to decline, she continued to fight & push herself. She fought for one more day, one more phone call with mom, one more card game with her grandkids. The most important thing to Brenda was her family & she was determined to spend as much time as she could with the ones she loved most.

Brenda is survived by parents Betty Cervantes, Carl & Judy Swords, son Michael Gehman & wife Ciara, son Daniel Gehman & wife Samantha, sister Judy Goodwin & husband Darrell, brother Eddie Swords & wife Vonnie, brother David Swords & wife Kim. Brenda leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Demond, Tre, DaNaisa, Kyleigh, Kamryn, Michael & Preston, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & friends whom she all loved dearly.

Brenda is preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Amerson & nephew PJ Swords.
