Brenda Sue Dutcher, of Montgomery, TX passed away on August 1, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. Born on August 7, 1951, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ronald and Betty Andrews Mattox. The family moved to Pasadena, TX where she grew up and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School.

Brenda loved being surrounded by friends and family and always made sure to have more appetizers than main course for any event she would host. She also loved to travel and visited many places around the world by cruise ship. She was a Den Mother, Brownie and Scout Troop leader, Drill Team mom, school volunteer for everything, and a member of the Spring Volunteer Fire Department for several years.  She became an accomplished quilter and spent many hours with her friends in the Ex-patchers Quilting Group, formed from a group of Expat wives while living in Venezuela.

Brenda is survived and missed by her devoted husband of 55 years, Douglas Dutcher, her loving son, Steven Dutcher and his wife Jennifer of Cypress, TX, and her cherished daughter, Michele Gutierrez and her husband Miguel or Magnolia, TX. She was a proud grandmother to Rebecca Dutcher, Mark Dutcher, Melia Gutierrez Dutcher, and Michael Gutierrez Dutcher. Surviving nieces include Jennifer Shepard of New York City, NY, Brooke Bangs of Lumberton, TX, and Kristen McBride of Hewitt, TX. Brenda's memory will be treasured by all who knew her.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents and sister Rhonda Jean Shepard.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, TX. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10 AM at the same location.
