Brenda Ann Acevedo Smith was born April 14, 1956 in San Angelo, Texas, and passed away in Houston, Texas on April 15, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her father, Francisco Acevedo.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 41years, Billy E. Smith; her children, Cecil Samaripa III, Rachel (Jason) Petrovich, Christopher (Anna) Smith, Billy Joe (Kim) Smith, Chris (Marlene) Smith, and Cecil B. (Marlene) Samaripa IV, and 12 grandchildren that she adored; mother, Belia Perez Gonzales; and siblings, Frank Acevedo II, Bonnie DeLaCruz, Christopher (Thelma) Acevedo, Betty (Jamie) Casillas, Pete Acevedo; Mario Castorena, Patricia Arrizola, Julie Ayala, Melissa Castorena, Connie Mejorado, David Acevedo, and Ruthie Teyuca.

Brenda met her soulmate Bill in 1981 and the two were married in 1982. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Brenda was an extraordinary woman who touched the hearts of so many with her infectious joy and unwavering strength.

As a mother, she was a true force to be reckoned with, fearlessly fighting for the well-being of her children and never hesitating to stand up for them. She was a woman who always held her head high and never faltered, no matter the challenges she faced.

Above all else, Brenda cherished her husband Billy E. Smith with a love that knew no bounds. They first met in a Kmart in 1981, and it was clear from that moment that they were a match made in heaven, two kindred spirits who shared a deep and meaningful bond.

Brenda had countless dear friends, including her loyal group of tailgating buddies who cheered on for the Houston Texans with fierce dedication even when the team did not meet their expectations. She also had a deep-made connection with all her coworkers at Select Physical Therapy who she dearly loved. And her special group of friends of the

669 Union who she met through her loving husband, together they shared countless incredible memories.

Brenda was often referred to as the "Diva". Of course Brenda was simply a Diva in every sense of the word- glamorous, confident, and always radiating pure joy. She wore her title of Diva with immense pride. She was a person whose kindness, generosity and loving spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. But her true beauty was shone from within, as she possessed a generosity of spirit and an ability to make everyone feel special and loved.

Brenda will always be remembered as a true gem of a person - a remarkable woman whose presence graced the lives of so many. Her light may have left this world, but the legacy of her love and strength will continue to shine on, inspiring us to live each day with the same fierce passion and endless joy that she so effortlessly embodied.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379. A funeral service for Brenda will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Klein Funeral Home – Champions, to be followed by committal in Houston National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
