Brayton Alan Barber, 23, was born on March 29, 2001, in Houston, Texas, and passed away untimely on January 1, 2025. As a child, Brayton's favorite past times were video games, riding his UTV, frog hunting, lacrosse and basketball, which he played in high school. Brayton is a 2019 graduate of Cypress Christian High School. As a young adult, Brayton grew to be a true outdoorsman; he specifically loved all types of fishing, and he could name any fish breed on sight. He had a growing love of golf, a passion for playing both the acoustic and electric guitar and a renewed interest in hunting. Further, he loved being in the kitchen and cooking delicious meals with and for his family. While attending college, Brayton loved coming home to see his family, and their twin golden retrievers and six beloved cats. Brayton was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and maintained an active spiritual life.

Brayton is widely remembered for his smile, and his positivity and kindness toward others. Brayton never met a stranger. As an old soul, Brayton had the remarkable ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. Brayton was truly one-of-a-kind, and he made it to Heaven far too early. Though he will be sorely missed, his family takes comfort in the fact that, as Believers, they will be reunited with him in Heaven one day. Until then, his presence, kindness and spirit will remain active in the lives of those he touched: his family, his friends, and the friends he just had not met yet.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Hallie E. Barber and Betty Barber; paternal great-grandfather Lonnie Kerr; maternal great-grandparents John "Shelby" Dupont and Olive Jumonville Dupont, and James Rodeheaver and Anita Rodeheaver; and, grandfather, Thomas Barker "Tody" Dupont. He is survived by his parents, Heath Alan Barber and Tammy Lynne Dupont Barber, his sister Savannah Lynne Seaboch and her husband Jake Seaboch, his sister Lauren Kate Barber and her significant other, Maddox Moher; paternal grandmother Jean Jackson; paternal grandparents Hallie Barber and Linda Barber; great grandmother, Dorothy Kerr and, maternal grandparents Dianne Lott and her husband David Lott.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Second Baptist Church of Cypress, 29900 Hwy 290, Cypress, Texas 77433. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Brayton's name to Second Baptist Church 29900 Hwy 290 Cypress, Texas 77433, Cypress Campus Building Fund, In Honor of Brayton Barber.
