Bonnie Raye McCelvey Cadwell was born February 6,1931, in Crockett, Texas to Chester and Evelyn McCelvey. She was the eldest of four children. After high school, Bonnie attended Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas, where she met her husband, Bill. They wed on September 2, 1955, and were married for 55 years when Bill passed away in 2010. They had two children, Larry and Lisa.

Bonnie volunteered at Northwest Medical Center for over 20 years. She was also active in The Woodlands Christian Church and Oak Ridge Baptist Church, as well as multiple quilt guilds for many years.

Bonnie's greatest love was her four grandchildren, Lili, Blaise, Benjamin, and Sylvie, and her two great-grandchildren, Remy and Faye. She was also a kind and loving grandmother to Larry's stepchildren Anna and Travis, and Gram-in-law to Rakan and Rigel.
