Bobby Joe Waldrum passed away peacefully on January 16, 2022. Bob was born in Atlanta, Texas on June 29, 1933 to Joe Leroy Waldrum and Madgie Berniece Hanson.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his three younger siblings, Hansel Seay Waldrum, Donald Ray Waldrum and Carolyn Waldrum Thompson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diana Hill Waldrum, and his four children: Cathy Waldrum Plemmons and husband David, Wesley Ray Waldrum and wife Gaytha, Joe Randall Waldrum and partner Harvey Ahmed, and Scott Hill Waldrum. Bob has seven grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.

Bob spent most of his working life at Chevron, formerly Gulf Oil Corporation, as a supervisor in the Commercial Credit Department. After leaving Chevron, he and wife Diana formed Waldrum & Waldrum, a bookkeeping service, which they maintained for several years. When he retired, Bob and his wife purchased a home with enough acreage for him to raise a breeding pair of cows, chickens and a big garden. To Bob, this was the ideal retirement.

Bob is a veteran of the United States Army and a long-time member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, January 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be available prior to the service on Monday morning at 9:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home – CyFair at 9719 Wortham Blvd., at 10:00 AM. Dennis Janz, Senior Adult Minister at Metropolitan Baptist Church, will perform the service. Interment will follow at Klein Memorial Park – Cy-Fair Northwest, 14711 Cypress North Houston Road, Cypress, Texas 77429.
