Bobby Lynn Owen's Obituary
Bobby Owen passed away on November 11, 2016, following a brief illness, and he has been dearly missed every second since. Bobby was born September 5, 1951 in Houston to Ada Jewell Hardy Owen and J. E. "Gene" Owen. Bobby's family lived in the Heights before moving to New Waverly, where he lived while attending Sam Houston State University earning a BBA in Accounting. Upon graduation, Bobby went to work at Mitchell Energy, before eventually finding his home at Citation Oil and Gas Corp. He was predeceased by his parents and beloved Aunts, with whom Bobby had a very special relationship. Left to cherish his memory is Bobby's partner of 30 years, Boyd Coble; sister Dorothy Jean and her husband Howard Mackenzie; nephews Jimmy and Mark Mackenzie and their families; his extended Coble Family who loved Bobby deeply; and his Citation family, whom he truly adored. He also leaves behind his best friend, Wally, the Australian Shepherd who still keeps waiting for him to come home from work. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA, PBS or charity of your choice.
