Bobbie Bodenhamer Hill, 92, passed away on July 25, 2020. She was born on July 23, 1928 to Don and Maude Bodenhamer. Bobbie was a beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She loved traveling, gambling, spending time at the lake and being with her family.
Bobbie was born in Mathis, Texas; where she grew up with her siblings, Don and Maxine. She graduated from Mathis High School, and then attended Sul Ross University and graduated from Southwest Texas University with a degree in Education. After graduating she taught in London, Texas and then after a few years moved to Houston and began her career at Magnolia Petroleum (Exxon Mobil) as a geological draftsman. It was there that she met Cedric Hill. They fell in love, married and raised two daughters, Charmon and Shannon. In the middle of her drafting career, she started her own kindergarten in Portland, Texas before kindergarten was offered in public schools. She ran her kindergarten for 10 years. At that time she returned to geological drafting until she retired.
Over the years, they showed dogs, horses and traveled the world. Bobbie will be loved forever and never forgotten.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband Cedric, parents, and siblings and is survived by daughter Charmon Hanacek and her husband Ladd of Schulenburg, TX; daughter Shannon Gardner and her husband Jason of Magnolia TX; granddaughter Paige Lines and her husband Matthew and their son Jack of Spring, TX; granddaughter Faith Hanacek of Schulenburg,TX.
A private family service will be held at Klein Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.
