Billie Jean Allen (Trader) was born on August 26, 1925 to John and Erma Allen in Qutiaque Texas. She then rode on over to Oklahoma by covered wagon and became an Okie. She was 3rd out of 5 children. She believed on the Lord and was saved as a child.

Having survived the Great Depression, typhoid fever, and being diagnosed deaf, Billie Jean learned to read lips and continued onward facing life's obstacles. She had fond memories of enjoying summers with her favorite cousin Rex.  She then met a local farmer, Archie Leon Trader in the summer of 1943 at a church revival while visiting her sister in Tomball, Texas. A few short weeks later Archie, unable to get Billie Jean off of his mind, borrowed some money from his dad, and took the train to Oklahoma where he proposed marriage, thus beginning their 70+ year life together.

She is Mother to 4 children, Grandmother to 12 grand kids (who loved her very much), Great Grandmother to 28 children and Great Great Grandmother to 14 children.

Billie Jean was a meek and virtuous woman. Deeply rooted in her heart was the proverb "There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Proverbs 12:18. Even to the last moments, she would stop in mid sentence if she felt that her words could hurt or harm another. She had the gift of hospitality and provided an atmosphere of comfort and warmth even in perilous times. She was delighted to have company, and loved to have a listening ear to dish about The Gaither Family Homecomings, polka dancing, and outdoor gardening. For a short while she even watched afternoon soap operas... but that's a secret, haha. She named her daughter Lynda after the most beautiful voiced woman on the radio.

She was influential in various ways to all, and although she has left this plane we are able to rest in pure joy knowing that she is with our Good, Good Father and His Son in Eternity.
