Obituary

Beverly W. Welter

November 30, 1927 October 12, 2016

A bright light has left the world. Beverly passed on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 . She epitomized what love and kindness are about.             She loved everyone she met, and all who knew her loved her. Born in Houston , Texas on November 30, 1927 , her love of life and adventure, no matter what form it took, never waned, right up to the end.

She spent 20 years as a second grade teacher in the Spring Branch School District in Houston . After that she spent her time traveling, and seeing as much of the world as she could. When not traveling she was usually busy with her garden, or helping various charities in whatever capacity she could. She help found a small church in The Woodlands, Texas , and left it with an indelible mark that will be long remembered. She had a deep spiritual connection with God, and was always happy to share it with all those who needed her guidance.

She buried 3 wonderful husbands: Jack Pederson, the father of her children, who died in 1971, Bud Welter, who passed in 1999 and Tom Roche, who passed in 2006.             She lost her last sister, Lou, to whom she was very close, last year, and a brother, Franklin and sister, Lolita in prior years.

She is survived by her son, Rick Pederson, daughter, Karin Clifton, son, Ken Pederson and his wife Sally, Godson, Steve Hacopian, with whom she spent many of her adventures, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to George, Tamera and Steve Hacopian, who helped take care of her for almost three years, and to the staff at Spring Creek Village Senior Living, in Spring, Texas , for the wonderful care they gave Beverly as she approached the end of her journey. We would also like to acknowledge the professionals of Encompass Hospice Care for their excellent service.

A small service is to be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .

Beverly has started off on her latest adventure. We miss you Mama!
