Beverly Stone Harmsen, born April 20, 1953, was called home by her heavenly Father on February 29, 2020. She was an active member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. Beverly was taught how to quilt by her mother as a young girl. She rediscovered her love for quilting and proved to be extremely talented. Beverly's passion was for warming hearts by creating beautiful memory quilts for those who lost loved ones. Her biggest challenge was designing an infinity ring quilt; she felt very accomplished after its completion. Her other passion was caring for Max, her yorkie, who gave her so much joy and spending time with her two grandchildren.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father and mother, Wilson and Norma Stone, and her sister Gaye Evans. Left to remember her is husband Greg L. Harmsen; children James W. Kelley, Angela J. Kelley, and Jessica S. Kelley; her grandchildren Makenzie L. Uselton and Cody K. Sacco; and her niece and nephew Christine A. Payne and her husband Kenneth, and Richard N. Evans.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church at 11330 Louetta Rd. Houston, TX 77070, with a reception to follow the service.
