Beverly Anne Barresi, the heart, soul and love of our life, passed away April 10, 2026 in Houston, Texas, at the age of 87. She is now resting in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ, who she loved so very much. Beverly will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who had the good fortune to know and experience the love and compassion she openly shared with everyone she came in contact with. Her love for mankind was boundless!

Beverly was born in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, to Henry and Hilma Christensen on October 29, 1938. In their early years, she and her three brothers, attended a one room school house across the road from their farm. Beverly graduated from Willow River High School, and followed in the footsteps of her mother, entering the nursing program at St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing in Duluth, Minnesota. While at St. Lukes, she met and upon graduation, married her husband Roy October 24, 1959; who prior to his discharge, was stationed in Duluth with the U.S. Air Force. They had four daughters though only one survived to adulthood; Stephanie, who was precious and so dearly loved, passed away in 2021.

Beverly is survived by her devoted spouse of 66 years, Orazio Roy, brother Richard Christensen, his wife Josephine, and grandchildren Ashley Michele Priest (Wilkinson) and husband Mason, Brandon Roy Wilkinson, and wife Elizabeth, and sister-in-law Francine Tancredi (Barresi). Also surviving are sisters-in-law Barbara and Margaret, spouses of brothers Howard and Gerald Christensen respectively.

Beverly was the most dedicated, compassionate, and caring individual who took nursing very seriously. When family or friends had medical issues, they frequently would consult with her and she was always there to offer her professional opinion and advice. She enjoyed her work in many nursing disciplines; establishing a medical program at an integrated oil company; for a doctor who treated indigent patients; as a school nurse; and as an industrial nurse for a major steel company. During Brandon's elementary school years, he would often feign stomach aches so he could visit grandma in her office and receive some love and attention. Beverly was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed the numerous trips with Ashley and Brandon to the zoo and various Houston museums. When attending high school, Ashley loved having grandma drive her to school each day. As a family they enjoyed vacation cruises to Alaska and trips to Europe which the grandchildren loved. Among the most memorable were trips to Russia, Greece and Italy, Beverly's most favorite destination.

Beverly loved spending time during the summer months, tending her garden and caring for her flowers. After spending many winters living in northern Minnesota, Houston's summer heat never bothered her! It could be 99 degrees, with sweat running down her nose, all she would ask for is a glass of water! She especially loved spending time with Ashley tending her "Secret Garden." Beverly was a member of several woman's groups including PEO and Catholic Daughters. She especially enjoyed hosting parties and family gatherings in their lovely home. She also enjoyed playing her grand piano, a 25th anniversary gift from her husband.

Visitation and Rosary will be at Klein Champions Funeral Home-Champions, 16131 Champions Forest Dr., Monday April 20, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 pm with The Rosary at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday morning April 21st, at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner, Spring, TX, followed by a reception in the Parish Life Center. Interment will take place in the  afternoon at the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas, at 2:15 pm.
