Obituary

Betty Juanita Terrell, 89, of Tomball, Texas passed away on February 23, 2026. Born on December 26, 1936, to Herbert and Bertha Mueller in Houston, Texas, Juanita enjoyed growing up in her small town as a twin and was doted on by her loving parents. Juanita was baptized May 14, 1945 at First Baptist Church in Tomball. She graduated from Tomball High School class of 1955 and she attended Massey Business School. She worked as a legal secretary for a top firm in Houston for many years before returning home to Tomball to raise her family. Juanita later returned to work and retired after 18 years from Harris County Precinct 4.
Betty Juanita loved watching all kinds of sports, especially tennis. HGTV was her favorite channel and she liked playing games on the iPad or reading western novels to keep her mind active. Her favorite times were spent with family, enjoying when her grandchildren visited and updated her on their lives. Juanita also had an interest in genealogy and took a special trip with her daughters to Germany to visit the hometown of her great grandfather. She traveled with her friends on trips to Hawaii twice in her younger years as well, and remained a devoted friend as she kept up with them with regular phone calls. Her favorite place she visited was Jackson, Wyoming due to her love of old western themes.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Anita Mueller of Seguin. She leaves behind her daughters Vanita Hodge and husband Richard of Seguin, Susan Leppard and husband Steve of Round Top; grandchildren: Derrick Lane Hodge and wife Callie, Sarah Morey and husband Josh, Alyssa Flores and husband Jr., Amanda Rogers and husband Jacob, Emma Eckermann and husband Jaden-Ray, and John "Jed" Leppard; and great grandchildren: Paisley Rae, James Wyatt "JW", John Walker, Aubrey Nicole, and twins Avery Mae and Allie Jo.
