Betty Sternat passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on October 27, 2021, at her home in Carrollton, Texas. She was born in Auburn, Indiana on December 18, 1926, and grew up in Northern Indiana. She met her husband of 51 years, Louis J. Sternat, at a USO club at Notre Dame University. Betty loved to travel with family and friends throughout the United States and Europe. Her adventurous spirit led her to try new experiences, including zip lining in Colorado and driving around the Indianapolis Speedway in the family car. Betty's family was the center of her life, and her children and sister Sharon are grateful to have visited her in her final days. She is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her children: Louis Sternat, Jr. and his wife Patricia; Christian Sternat and his wife Jackie; Helen Mullane and her husband Tim; Theresa Sternat; Timothy Sternat; and Jennifer Stark and her husband Tom; by her sisters Sharon Hostetter and Carol Schuelke; and by her five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 9:00 to 10:00 am, at Klein Funeral Home 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Klein, TX 77379, followed by interment at Houston National Cemetery.
