Obituary

Betty Ann Marie Baumgartner Bogs was carried to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the age of 83. After yearning to be with many loved ones and especially her Lord and Savior, God's promise of eternal life came to fruition. Betty was born at home in Westfield, Texas to William Carl Baumgartner & Martha Marie Theiss on April 24, 1937. She was baptized on May 9, 1937 by the Rev. C.J. Steyer and confirmed on June 24, 1951 by the Rev. E.H. Sanders at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Westfield. She grew up going to school at St. Matthew and graduated from Spring High School in 1955 where Wensche High School now stands. Betty married Daniel Wilbur Bogs on May 28, 1955, a lifelong marriage lasting 45 years, and moved to Hufsmith, Texas. While being a housewife and mom, she filled many positions outside the home from being a seamstress, a secretary at Tomball Lutheran School and Tomball Brick Company to Volunteer Coordinator at Autumn Hills Nursing Home and a housecleaner. In retirement, Betty and Dan enjoyed their camping trips with Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Texas and vacationing with their timeshare catching as many craft and quilt shows as she could. Her passion of quilting blesses many households today as very special and thoughtful quilts lay on her loved ones' beds.

"In My Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also." ~Jesus (John 14:2-3)
