Betty Elizabeth Lyle née Satala completed her life journey on Earth and went to spend eternity with the Lord on February 26, 2023. Betty was born on November 12, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Elvira Satala, the oldest of three children.  Her experiences as a child laid the foundation for what would become her life passions: gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, raising animals, reading, and cooking.  In 1953, Betty married the love of her life, George. Together they raised five children, impressing upon each their love and passions in life. When almost all their children were grown, Betty decided to return to school and pursue a degree in nursing. She would then devote herself to caring for others.

Eventually George and Betty moved to Texas to be closer to family where Betty continued to work in nursing. George and Betty acquired their dream ranch in 1994 and devoted their time and energy to building it up and tending to their animals. Betty was particularly fond of her llamas and Navajo-Churro sheep. After retiring from nursing, Betty found more time to do additional things she enjoyed, such as entertaining friends in her home, playing her organ, and listening to music.  In the later years of George's life, Betty devoted herself to caring for and comforting him until his passing.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of greater than 67 years, and her dear brother William.  She is survived by her five children: Doris, Jim (Roberta), Nancy, Cathy (Jeff) Perry, and Diane, grandchildren Andrew (Kristin) Lyle, Mark (Mei) Lyle, Jordan Perry, and Madison Perry. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Clara Lyle and Enzo Lyle.

While Betty and George are gone from our lives, they are not forgotten and remain in our hearts and minds forever.
